Podcasts with IB Year 1 students
Thanks to Mr Sánchez Sahorí, our Philosophy teacher, our IB Year 1 students have been able to make a podcast about target culture(s) connected with English speaking countries in our school radio studio located in the high school basement.
Everything started when IB students had to include in their photo descriptions some pieces of information connected with culture. Culture linked to any English speaking countries. Obviously, United Kingdom, the United States of America, even Canada or Australia were quite familiar to us, but what about Gambia, Nigeria or Sierra Lione, for example? The final result topics for the radio podcast were,
Nelson Mandela and Martin Luther King, similarities and differences
Slang in UK and New Zealand
Marriage role for Nigerian girls
Curiosities in Swazealand, which is above South Africa.
Slumdog Millionaire, Indian movie inspired by a true story
Barbados and the Commonwealth
How African-American culture revolutionized music
Universities in UK and in South Africa
Reading habit in Australian teenagers
Wild life in Sierra Leone and Gambia
Hope you enjoy them!!!!
Very proud of our students, indeed.
Don´t miss the pics!!!
